The Scoop on Down on the Farm Creamery

Down on the Farm Creamery is a family owned and operated Amish creamery established in 2018 and has become a favorite local ice shop.

Founded by dairy farmer Daniel Lapp, the goal was to take the family farm’s milk and use it to create something amazing. And with the help of a secret recipe—and lots of experimenting—Down on the Farm’s ice cream has become a go-to treat for locals and visitors alike.

These days, Down on the Farm Creamery is run by Daniel and his brother Jonathan. They love providing families with a space to come and enjoy themselves “down on the farm”—while also offering other homemade and local goodies and coffee drinks at both their "Down on the Farm" location and at their new Choo Choo Barn location.
